-
Graphic design
The Graphic Designers produce brochures, booklets, banners and other promotional materials for SCCOE programs, as well as large events like graduations, the annual Teacher Recruitment Fair, and Teacher Recognition event. They create binders and other materials for workshops and classes, and also assist in Web design. Advice and guidance can also be offered to SCCOE employees and educators regarding the design and layout of promotional materials. -
Video taping
The SCCOE's 529-square-foot studio has two sets designs, three HD cameras, lighting grid and wireless microphones. On-location recording is accomplished through single or multiple cameras, wireless microphones, tripods and lighting kit. CMS can also stream video from a location with an Internet connection. -
Video editing and writing
CMS staff offers professional editing services, including the creation of DVDs with menus and navigation buttons. A soundproof voiceover booth allows for video narration, and a voiceover PowerPoint studio provides a venue to create software training videos. Script writers help develop projects, and transcribers translate video or audio tape. -
Conferencing/presentation assistance
Video conferencing capabilities allow participants miles apart to meet "face-to-face" and share multimedia presentations. A fixed room can seat up to six people, or a mobile unit can move to various locations with video conferencing capabilities. CMS can also help clients originate or participate in a Webcast. A satellite downlink allows for pull-down, distribution and recording of satellite-fed programming. -
Duplication, transfer and video hosting
Automated duplication machines copy CDs and DVDs in mass quantity with high-quality thermal or inkjet-printed disc label information. Additional services also include transfers between media formats, such as VHS to DVD and video hosting through a media server accessible via Web link. -
Broadcasting and distribution
An in-house closed-circuit cable TV channel system allows for distribution of live or prerecorded programming from studio or SCCOE conference rooms. Reach broader audiences through the Educational Broadband Service that allows for distribution to schools countywide, as well as Comcast's Educational Access cable channel through San Jose's community access channel, CreaTV. Broadcast live on SCCOE's streaming portal, and archive programs on CMS' media server for Video on Demand.
